Five Senses Atomic! Talking Watch - Sets Itself Senses Metal Easy-to-Read Talking Watch (1021)
Radio-controlled multi-band atomic watch picks up the official time and date signals from radio transmitters across the North America, UK, Europe and Japan, ensuring it's always accurate to the correct local time. It never needs setting, however it can also be adjusted manually for countries with no signal. Watch can also adjust automatically for summer and winter time changes without you having to re-adjust the time. Perfect for elderly, hard of hearing, vision-impaired and many more. Great gift idea for your family and friends!
Quick Start
Your radio controlled Talking Watch will arrive with the battery in 'sleep mode' with a blank LCD display.
Wake Up the Watch
Press either the S1 button (next to 2 o'clock) or S2 button (next to 4 o'clock) for around 2 seconds to wake up the watch. After the watch wakes up, it will show the internal time.
Set Country
USA users need to set the watch to one of the USA time zones
Setting to DST/Summer Time
If the time is not correct, once the hands have stopped moving, simply leave the watch by a window ledge or an ara where it can receive the strongest, uninterrupted signal. The watch is programmed to update and transmit a time check at 3am everyday. By leaving the watch near the window and in a position where it can receive the best signal, the time will reset itself to the correct DST/Summer Time and thus will be able to tell the correct time.
Automatic Time Settings
You radio controlled talking watch recalls your selected Atomic Clock signal automatically at 3.00AM every night. After receiving a signal, it will show the official local time on the watch. Everything is done automatically. However, your watch can also be manually set.
At night, position the watch face down on a flat surface near a window. The signal will be updated at 3.00AM. You can test this using the country signal button. If your watch is unable to make contact with the radio signal, it will continue to function in the same way as a standard watch. The time will then be correct the next time your watch receives the time signal.
